Support to offset start-up costs

Your newly developed cultural tourism product may be available for provincial financial assistance to offset some start-up costs. The Tourism Innovation Fund assists in the research, development and market launch of new cultural tourism products. Projects supported by the fund will develop or enhance products identified in the Strategy. Investments made by the Tourism Innovation Fund intend to strengthen Prince Edward Island s appeal as a cultural tourism destination.

1. Review eligibility criteria to ensure your organization qualifies for the fund 2. Prepare a detailed proposal that addresses the assessment criteria, including alignment with tourism strategy objectives, development of primary market tourism products, potential to attract off-Island visitors, extension of visitor stay during non-peak periods, availability of research and ROI analysis, concept development plan for incremental growth, detailed financial plan demonstrating sustainability, involvement of community tourism partners, and proposed method of project evaluation 3. Complete the Tourism PEI Innovation Fund Form 4. Submit the completed application form and proposal to the specified address before the application deadline
