Funding for assurance systems in New Brunswick agriculture
Program Description
This grant seeks to accelerate the adoption of recognized assurance systems, including food safety, biosecurity, traceability, and animal welfare in the production, processing, and distribution of New Brunswick agri-food products; as well as support the agriculture sector to prepare for and maintain resilience in relation to emerging challenges including
extreme weather events, animal and plant disease outbreaks, emergencies/natural disasters, wildlife damage, farmer mental
health, and farm safety.
Steps to Apply
1. Discuss your application with appropriate Department of Agriculture, Aquaculture and Fisheries staff
2. Prepare a detailed application including project objectives and expected outcomes
3. Ensure all necessary permits, environmental approvals, or certifications are obtained
4. Review the SCAP Administrative Guidelines to ensure compliance
5. Submit the completed application by email or mail
