Resilient Agricultural Landscape Program (RALP) - Water Retention Features

Funding to make Ontario agricultural lands more resilient

RALP funding supports the rejuvenation or the establishment of water retention or shallow groundwater type features on agricultural landscapes in Ontario. The feature must be a minimum of 15 feet deep to qualify for funding. Water retention features result in more resilient agricultural landscapes with an increased ability to help farmers adapt to changing climate conditions and manage fluctuations in water resources, creating more resilient agricultural production and providing many other ecological and water quality benefits.

1. Review the Resilient Agricultural Landscape Program Guide to understand eligibility criteria and application requirements 2. Create an account on the OSCIA Portal and complete the Enrolment Form 3. Obtain a valid premises identification (PID) number 4. Complete a 4th Edition Environmental Farm Plan and obtain the certificate of completion 5. Prepare documentation to support your farm business eligibility, such as a Farm Business Registration Number (FBRN) or relevant exemption letters 6. Obtain an assessment or letter of support for your project from a qualified expert, using the template provided in the Program Guide 7. Gather all required documents, including the Application Form, PID number, EFP certificate, farm business documentation, and project assessment or letter of support 8. Submit the completed application and all required documentation electronically through the OSCIA Portal
