Ministerial Initiative Agri-Environmental Compensation

Support for the implementation of good environmental practices

This initiative aims to support companies in their continued implementation of good environmental practices. This is a program of the Quebec Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ) whose administration has been entrusted to La Financi re agricole du Qubec (FADQ). The Agri-Environmental Remuneration is recognized by the federal government under the Canadian Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture. (PCAD). It follows the Ministerial Initiative for Remuneration of Agri-Environmental Practices (RPA). Participants will commit to applying at least one eligible practice during the two seasons following the year of their registration, namely in the areas of off-season soil protection , herbicide reduction , improved fertilizer management , crop diversification and the implementation of biodiversity-friendly features.
