Money for Metis Women-owned businesses in Manitoba

Métis Women Entrepreneurship (MWE) Grant & Loan Program provides commercial financing to help Métis Women start or expand businesses in Manitoba. This program offers up to $50,000.00 in financing composed of a grant and loan.

1. Review eligibility criteria to ensure your business is at least 51% Red River Métis and woman-owned, with valid MMF Red River Métis Citizenship Card(s) 2. Prepare required documents, including a detailed business plan, financial statements, and proof of cash equity (minimum 5% of total project costs) 3. Contact LRCC staff to discuss your project and obtain the necessary application forms 4. Complete the MWE Grant & Loan Application Form and Personal Statement of Affairs for each owner 5. Submit the completed application along with all required documentation to LRCC 6. Allow up to 4-6 weeks for processing and be prepared to provide additional information if requested
