Money for Metis-owned small businesses in Manitoba
Program Description
LRCC provides a Business Grant & Loan Program to finance the start-up, acquisition and/or expansion of a Métis-owned small business in Manitoba. Projects must generally be above $25,000.00 unless the applicant is an existing business looking to expand.
Steps to Apply
1. Review eligibility criteria to ensure your business qualifies for the program
2. Gather required documentation, including the Business Grant & Loan Application, Personal Statement of Affairs for each owner, Business Grant & Loan Info Sheet, Business Plan Checklist, detailed business plan, proof of MMF Citizenship Card(s), proof of Manitoba business registration, financial statements and projections, and quotes for eligible costs
3. Develop a comprehensive business plan outlining your business goals, strategies, market analysis, and financial projections
4. Calculate total project costs, ensuring you have at least 10% of the total in non-borrowed cash
5. Contact LRCC staff to discuss your project and receive guidance on the application process
6. Submit the completed application and all supporting documents to LRCC
