Loans for Inuit business in Nunavut’s Qikiqtani Region

Makigiaqvik Loans are available to eligible Inuit owned businesses that require financing to establish or expand their business. Kakivak Association's Business Development Officers will work with businesses to find the best financing available for a business development project, including a combination of grant contributions and a Makigiaqvik Loan.

1. Review eligibility criteria for the Makigiaqvik Loans program 2. Contact Kakivak's Business Services Department to schedule a consultation with a Business Development Officer 3. Download the application form from Kakivak's website 4. Gather necessary documents such as business plans, financial statements, and proof of Inuit ownership 5. Complete the application form with detailed information about your business and funding requirements 6. Submit the completed application and supporting documents to Kakivak's Business Services Department 7. Follow up with Kakivak to confirm receipt of your application and inquire about the status
