Funding to grow a business in Northern Ontario

Program Description

The Grow Stream is funding for businesses expanding existing operations in Northern Ontario. Funding comes in the form of a contribution up to $400,000 to cover 20% of the project costs plus a term loan of up to $600,000 to cover an additional 30% of the project costs. Or, apply for a term loan only of up to $1 million to cover up to 50% of the project costs.

Steps to Apply

1. Review eligibility criteria to ensure your business qualifies for the program 2. Prepare a detailed business plan outlining your project, including objectives, timelines, and expected outcomes 3. Gather required documentation such as business registration documents, financial statements for the last two years, project budget and cost estimates, evidence of other funding sources (if applicable), and any relevant permits or licenses 4. Create an online account on the NOHFC website 5. Complete each section of the application form following the onscreen instructions 6. Submit the completed application before the relevant deadline (April 30, July 31, October 31, or January 31)
