What is this funding for?
Financing for PEI businesses to bring new products to market
Program Description
The Innovation Fund assists businesses to bring a new product, service, or process to market by providing financial support for the costs to refine and commercialize an innovative product that has demonstrated potential for export market uptake.
Steps to Apply
1. Contact an Innovation PEI Business Development Officer to discuss project suitability and application process
2. Prepare an outline of the business history and description
3. Collect financial statements from the last two years for existing businesses or a completed business plan for new businesses
4. Draft a detailed project description and economic benefits analysis for both the organization and Prince Edward Island
5. Gather detailed cost estimates for the project, supported by written quotations
6. Compile information on the funding sources for the project
7. Outline the current and projected market positions including increases in market share
8. List all shareholders and key management personnel
9. Complete the application form with all required details and attach supporting documents
10. Submit the completed application to Innovation PEI before making any financial or legal commitments on the project
