Funding for professional help to create or improve a food product or process in PEI
Program Description
Food Product Development Assistance is available to Prince Edward Island businesses to access professional and technical assistance in creating or improving a new food product or process. This assistance can be used to develop and test new and improved products and processes, and other technical development-related activities.
Steps to Apply
1. Consult with an Innovation PEI Business Development Officer for guidance on the suitability of the project and the application process
2. Prepare detailed business information and supporting documents, including business history, financial statements (for existing businesses), business plan (for new businesses), project description, economic benefits, cost estimates with written quotations, funding sources, market position, and list of shareholders and key management personnel
3. Submit the application online before making any financial or legal commitments to the project
