Funding for clean energy and capacity-building projects

Program Description

The First Nations Clean Energy Business Fund (FNCEBF) promotes increased Indigenous community participation in the clean energy sector within their asserted traditional territories and treaty areas. The fund provides agreements between the B.C. Government and successful applicants for Capacity funding and Equity funding. It also provides revenue sharing agreements between the B.C. Government and eligible First Nations.

Steps to Apply

1. Review eligibility criteria to ensure your community qualifies for the funding. 2. Complete the FNCEBF Clean Energy Capacity Funding Application form. 3. Prepare supporting documentation, including a Band Council Resolution or equivalent, detailed financial analysis, contractor quotes, feasibility studies, letters of support, project budget, communication with BC Hydro if applicable, and relevant permits or licenses. 4. Submit the completed application and all supporting documents via email to fncebf@gov.bc.ca by April 30, 2026.
