What is this funding for?
Funding to provide work skills to First Nations and Inuit youth
Program Description
First Nations and Inuit Skills Link Program supports activities that assist First Nations and Inuit youth in gaining the essential skills to help them with gaining employment, performing effectively in workplace settings, and learning about job and career options.
Activities can include career promotion, science and technology activities, co-operative education placements, internships and mentored work placements.
Funding may be provided to eligible First Nations and Inuit communities, governments and organizations, as well as not-for-profit associations, private sector employers and schools and employers who then provide activities for First Nations and Inuit youth.
Steps to Apply
1. Review eligibility criteria
2. Prepare a detailed proposal outlining activities, objectives, expected results, and estimated costs
3. Access the ISC Services Portal to obtain the proposal form or contact the ISC Regional office if portal access is unavailable
4. Submit the completed proposal through the ISC Services Portal or via the ISC Regional office before the specified deadline
