Loan to purchase farm land in Prince Edward Island
Program Description
The Farmland Financing is available to eligible farmers; new and expanding or those involved in farmland succession within PEI.
Steps to Apply
1. Review eligibility criteria to ensure you meet all requirements
2. Obtain a valid Environmental Farm Plan and Soil Conservation Plan for the farmland being purchased
3. Prepare a comprehensive business plan, including three years of cash flow projections and, if applicable, three years of historical financial statements, with assistance from a qualified Chartered Accountant
4. Obtain an appraisal of the farmland from an Accredited Appraiser
5. Complete the Application for Financial Assistance form
6. Submit the completed application along with all supporting documents to an Account Manager at Finance PEI
7. Attend an interview with the Account Manager to discuss your business proposal and determine eligibility
