Financial support for continuing education for childcare providers

The Continuing Education Program is intended to enhance the ability of regulated child care centres, Pre-primary programs, and family home child care agencies to recruit and retain staff. The program provides financial support to regulated child care and Pre-primary staff, and to family home child care providers and agency staff to continue their education and enhance skills and qualifications.

1. Review the Continuing Education Program Terms and Conditions 2025-2026 2. Confirm eligibility based on residency, employment status, and course requirements 3. Enroll in an approved part-time early childhood education course at a recognized institution 4. Successfully complete the course and obtain verification from the institution 5. Within 60 days of course completion, complete the Continuing Education Application for Reimbursement form 6. Gather all required documentation as specified in the Terms and Conditions 7. Submit the application form and supporting documents by email to eceTraining@novascotia.ca or by mail to the ECE Continuing Education Program at the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development
