What is this funding for?
Funds to improve rural community facilities
Program Description
The Rural Enhancement Funding program is designed to support priorities of rural communities with a population between 1,500 and 30,000, that contribute to healthy and strong communities.
Funding is provided as a conditional contribution and will not exceed:
Up to 90% of eligible costs, with a maximum of $200,000, for communities with fewer than 1,500 people and Indigenous communities.
Up to 75% of eligible costs, with a maximum of $500,000, for communities with more than 1,500 people.
Steps to Apply
1. Review eligibility criteria to ensure your organization and project qualify
2. Prepare required documents, including project plans, budgets, and timelines
3. Create a My Ontario Account to access the NOHFC portal
4. Complete the application form on the NOHFC portal, ensuring all sections are accurately filled out
5. Upload all necessary documents as part of your online application submission
6. Review the entire application for completeness and accuracy before submission
7. Submit the completed application via the NOHFC portal
