Funding for broadband access in Northern Ontario

NOHFC support for broadband and cellular expansion projects is intended to address broadband gaps in Northern Ontario by increasing connectivity for unserved or underserved areas. You must have applied to other available broadband infrastructure programs in Ontario and have been declined before applying to this program.

1. Review eligibility criteria to ensure your organization and project qualify 2. Apply to other available infrastructure programs and obtain a decline or provide a detailed explanation of ineligibility 3. Create an account on the NOHFC portal using a My Ontario Account 4. Prepare required documents, including a map defining the project's geographic coverage and an overview of the network design 5. Complete the application form on the NOHFC portal, ensuring all sections are accurately filled out 6. Upload all necessary documents as part of your online application submission 7. Review the entire application for completeness and accuracy before submission 8. Submit the completed application via the NOHFC portal
