Program Description
Self-Employment Benefit (SEB) is a program which provides various types of support to eligible unemployed Atlantic Canadians during the initial phase of their business, including financial assistance, counselling and technical advice.
Steps to Apply
1. Contact Nova Scotia Works to discuss eligibility for the Self-Employment Benefit (SEB) Program
2. Meet with a local SEB Coordinator to assess if self-employment is a viable option
3. Complete and submit the SEB Program application form
4. Prepare a comprehensive business plan demonstrating potential for success
5. Have your application and business plan reviewed by a selection committee
6. Await notification from the SEB Coordinator regarding the outcome of your application
