What is this funding for?
Funding to teach digital skills
Program Description
CanCode funds initiatives through not-for-profit organizations that ensure Canadian students, from kindergarten to grade 12, have the skills they need to succeed in an increasingly digital world. It also funds initiatives that provide teachers with the training and professional development they need to introduce digital skills in the classroom.
These digital skills for youth can include:
coding
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
use of digital tools and technologies
Through CanCode funded programs, youth and their educators can learn up-to-date digital skills that will help youth succeed today and in the future.
Steps to Apply
1. Review eligibility criteria to ensure your organization qualifies
2. Gather required documents: CanCode Application form, Quantitative data workbook, financial statements, and proof of not-for-profit status
3. Complete the CanCode Application form and Quantitative data workbook accurately
4. Submit the completed application and all required documents via email to cancode-codecan@ised-isde.gc.ca or by mail to the CanCode Program at Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, C.D. Howe Building, 235 Queen Street, 1st floor, West Tower, Ottawa, ON K1A 0H5, Canada
