What is this funding for?
Business training and planning funding for agri-businesses in Prince Edward Island
Program Description
The Business Development Program will support the agriculture sector by providing funding for training, business planning and implementation, organizational development, benchmarking and risk management activities. The program will facilitate the development of sound business practices and is designed to enhance the capacity of PEI Agricultural producers, small to medium-sized agri-businesses and organizations to better understand and manage their financial performance, respond to change and maximize the use of comprehensive risk management options for their agriculture operations.
Steps to Apply
1. Review eligibility criteria for the Business Development Program
2. Obtain the General Application Form and relevant appendices from the PEI Department of Agriculture
3. Gather necessary information, including applicant contact details, business information, project dates, funding sources, recipient type, and industry type
4. Prepare a project proposal outlining objectives, timeline, expected results, budget, and evaluation methods
5. Collect additional documents such as consultant resumes, professional certifications, and references if applicable
6. Complete the application form and appendices accurately
7. Sign the declaration and consent for personal information
8. Submit the completed application package via mail or email to the Business Development Program Officer
