What is this funding for?
Business training and planning funding for agri-businesses in Prince Edward Island
Program Description
The Business Development Program will support the agriculture sector by providing funding for training, business planning and implementation, organizational development, benchmarking and risk management activities. The program will facilitate the development of sound business practices and is designed to enhance the capacity of PEI Agricultural producers, small to medium-sized agri-businesses and organizations to better understand and manage their financial performance, respond to change and maximize the use of comprehensive risk management options for their agriculture operations.
Steps to Apply
1. Review eligibility criteria for the Business Development Program
2. Obtain the General Application Form and relevant appendices from the PEI Department of Agriculture's website or by contacting them directly
3. Gather necessary information, including applicant contact details, business or organization information (including CRA registration number), project start and end dates, additional sources of project funding, recipient type, and industry type
4. Complete the General Application Form and the appropriate appendices based on the sub-program you're applying for
5. Prepare any required supporting documents, such as project proposals, consultant resumes, and verification of professional certifications, depending on the sub-program requirements
6. Sign the application form to declare and consent to the use of personal information
7. Submit the completed application form, appendices, and supporting documents to the PEI Department of Agriculture via regular mail or email as specified in the application guidelines
