What is this funding for?
Business training and planning funding for agri-businesses in Prince Edward Island
Program Description
The Business Development Program will support the agriculture sector by providing funding for training, business planning and implementation, organizational development, benchmarking and risk management activities. The program will facilitate the development of sound business practices and is designed to enhance the capacity of PEI Agricultural producers, small to medium-sized agri-businesses and organizations to better understand and manage their financial performance, respond to change and maximize the use of comprehensive risk management options for their agriculture operations.
Steps to Apply
1. Review eligibility criteria for the Building Sector Capacity Sub-Program
2. Obtain the Business Development Program General Application Form and relevant appendices
3. Gather required information, including business details, project dates, funding sources, and industry type
4. Complete the application form and necessary appendices accurately
5. Sign the declaration and consent sections
6. Submit the completed application and appendices to the PEI Department of Agriculture via mail or email
