Funding to study ecosystem impacts, improve sustainability, and new technologies in Atlantic fisheries

The Atlantic Fisheries Fund is a contribution program funded jointly by the federal, provincial and territorial governments. It will invest over $400 million over 7 years to support Canada’s fish and seafood sector. The fund aims to help Canada’s seafood sector transition to meet growing market demands for products that are high quality, value added, and sustainably sourced.

1. Review eligibility criteria to ensure your organization and project qualify for the Atlantic Fisheries Fund 2. Determine the appropriate funding stream for your project: Innovation, Infrastructure, or Science Partnerships 3. Prepare a comprehensive proposal using the designated templates for your chosen funding stream 4. Gather all required supporting documents, including financial statements, incorporation documents, and relevant permits or licenses 5. Complete the application form with accurate and detailed information 6. Submit the application form, proposal, and supporting documents in both paper and electronic formats (on a memory stick) by mail or courier
