Money to translate artistic works for international presentation
Program Description
The Translation component of Arts Abroad funds the translation of Canadian literary works or dramatic works for international presentation or publication.
Steps to Apply
1. Review eligibility criteria
2. Create an account on the Canada Council portal
3. Submit an applicant profile for validation at least 30 days before applying
4. Prepare a detailed grant application including project information, budget, and promotion plan (for literary translations)
5. Gather required documents: original book or script, translator’s biography, and signed contracts as applicable
6. Submit the completed application through the portal before the translation is completed
